Our Philippine Capiz products, renowned for their delicate, translucent beauty, come from the mollusk Placuna Placenta, also known as the Windowpane Oyster. Historically, Capiz shells were used in the windows of houses before the advent of glass, owing to their translucent quality that allows light to pass through while providing privacy.
